[It doesn't look like much on the outside, just a large pile of pillows, but the inside is actually kind of hollowed out and cavelike. Some holes allow cooler air and light in - it's fairly spacious. The entrance is hidden by a large, firm, square pillow. Crim can be found hidden inside.
Sometimes a kid just needs a place to curl up and hide after the latest round of testing or the most recent run-in with Proton, okay. Pillow forts are good for alone time, especially since they muffle the chatter of the others.]
[He nods slowly. There's a reason he was very slow and painstaking about building this fort, and it isn't because pillow forts are serious business (even though they are).]
[He moves over slowly, clearly hurt. There's no blood anywhere, at least.]
I'm not bleeding. [Some of the skin on his arms and possibly some near his neck is starting to turn that telltale yellow, and he's certainly favoring one knee, too. Hugs are very welcome.]
I know we will. [That's the most feeling his voice has held this whole conversation. Even beaten as he is now, he refuses to give up on the idea of freedom.
His grip is tight though, a clinging hold. That's probably more telling than anything else of how frustrated he is at the situation. He knows there's an Outside, he's heard all kinds of amazing stories. Fields that stretch into the horizon without a building in sight. Clear blue skies. Trees so tall the tops are impossible to make out. Vast expanses of water call oceans. He wants to get out and see it all, see it for himself, for real, right this very second.]

He moves aside the pillow blocking the entrance and calls softly to the boy inside.] Hey, Crim? Can I come in?

...Mmhm. [It's a quiet and kind of bland sound, but at least it's affirmative.]

... You put a lot of work into this.

Only bruising this time, I think.

[Still, N's making himself comfortable and motioning for Crim to come over. Hugs are a thing that's needed, obviously.]

... We're all going to get out of here someday, Crim. I promise.
