Perhaps it's more than a little ironic that she found him at the Notre Dame, but either way, she's silently joining him. Or at least she's silent for a little while.]

And threats aren’t going to change that either! I’m not afraid of the law. I’ve met enough of them through my work. Murders where the culprit is obvious as long as one can employ some simple deduction, and the bumbling morons can’t even tell what weapon was used.
[But that little saying? That makes him wheel on her, grabbing her wrist tightly as he speaks, a low and threatening hiss.]

[He shakes his head, eyes wide and grin crazed.]

[That spark of anger has returned to her eyes--no, it's not just a spark anymore, it's an outright flame, clearly fueled by rage. She closes her eyes.
When she opens them again, the rage is gone. Her voice is cold.] Unhand me.
